Weight-loss is a big draw for anyone to do a “challenge,” but ours is more of a brain-retrain. When you know better, you do better. But sometimes knowing what to do is not enough. You need accountability and a system in place to keep you consistent. This is what we coach and teach.
The Clean Kitchen 12 Week Challenge is not a “challenge to lose the most weight.” It is a challenge to change your life. And all our clients go through a life-changing experience during the 12 weeks. The by-product are the amazing results you see below.
Average weight-loss is about 10-15 pounds of body fat. But what is not measured on the scale is measured by the massive amounts of inches lost, and the boat-load of confidence all our clients, not just the ones you see here, gained during their time with us.
And this happened in 12 Weeks. The knowledge and habits developed during these past 12 weeks will carry them onward to week 13 and beyond! We created Clean Kitchen Challenge not as a weight-loss program, but more as a lifestyle program. Our goal is not for our clients to “lose the most weight.” Our goal is for our clients to develop skills and strategies to help them make healthy eating and choices a lifestyle that will carry them much longer than just a short 12 weeks. The numbers and pictures are impressive. But even more impressive is the life changed behind these pictures and numbers! And the way we change people is slowly. In the Clean Kitchen challenge we slowly teach habits, strategies, and re-train their brains to think outside of gimmick diets and super complicated meal plans. We don’t count macros, we teach people to prepare and eat FOOD. We coach people into a better relationship with food and their body. It is hard to put in words what we “do,” but one fact is our clients leave the challenge prepared, confident, a little lighter, and ready to really live life!

We encourage our clients to keep up with taking progress pictures as they continue outside of the Clean Kitchen Challenge. Even better is when they send us updates! Here is a client from the Summer 2016 progress pictures. First set is start of CK challenge, second is the end of CK Challenge, and third is 3 months post CK Challenge. Our clients learn it is not just 12 weeks, it’s a lifestyle of habits that keep you going. It is not about being perfect, because no one ever is. The journey is about awareness and making good decisions for yourself without someone telling you to. In the Clean Kitchen 12 Week Challenge you learn HOW to do this. Healthy habits are actually very simple. It takes effort and work, but it is not the restrictive or as complicated as you imagine.We can not wait to see what happens in another 6 months!!!

This is my story of where I started at Versus and ended up in the Clean Kitchen 12 Week Challenge. An honest account of what I thought I was getting into only to realize it was the complete opposite of all my assumptions.

I’m an overachiever by nature. More often than not if I set my mind to do something it will get done and it will be done well. I can say that about most everything in my life except weight loss. Weight loss was always the one thing out of reach. The one thing that was most likely impossible. When I look back on how I actually got to this conclusion I think it comes from a lifetime of failed weight loss endeavors. Failed diets and failed fitness routines and failed self-talk ….Lots of FAILURE.
