I think I might enjoy cooking now!

The Clean Kitchen 12 Week Challenge was the best thing I have ever done for my health. I have learned so much! I’m not really sure how or why the program is so effective, but it has made a world of difference for me. Prior to Clean Kitchen, I knew my eating habits were terrible and my cholesterol was not where it should be. Every time I’d make a poor food choice (which felt like it was 9 out of 10 times), I’d have this tremendous guilt that I wasn’t taking care of myself. After Clean Kitchen, not only can I confidently say I am consistently now a Level 1 eater, but I also know without doubt what constitutes a good food choice. And even though I haven’t been food logging the last couple of weeks, my clean eating habits have remained intact! They are in fact “habits!”

I have lost 17 pounds and many inches. I am wearing clothes I haven’t been able to wear in a long time (which makes me feel like I have a whole new wardrobe). I feel so much better and gone is the guilt of making poor food choices. My biggest accomplishment, however, is having my doctor telling me my cholesterol numbers look great! No cholesterol medicine for me…thank you very much!!!!! That has got to be what I am most happy about!

I have to say, the Clean Kitchen recipes are where it is at; and is probably one of the reasons the program is so effective. I am not lying when I say I have NEVER considered myself a good cook. I hated cooking because I felt like I never produced anything that was delicious or satisfying—even after trying elaborate recipes that took SOOO much effort!  Clean Kitchen recipes are simple, taste good, and not intimidating. The way CK broke down flavors into specific spices was a total game-changer for me (I know that sounds totally dramatic, but its true!). I think I might even enjoy cooking now!

In a nutshell, I feel Clean Kitchen was a complete and total success for me, but I still have a ways to go to reach my ultimate goal. I actually have plateaued the last two weeks with my weight loss, but that’s ok because I still feel like I am moving forward. My next challenge is getting consistent with exercise. I feel like if I can put the two together (diet AND exercise), I could be unstoppable!

Thanks again, Coach Stephanie, for your help and support through the CK challenge. If we were to ever meet in person, I’d like to think we would hit it off immediately!
